After working in the banking industry for over 10 years, I decided to make a change in my career and take classes in massage therapy. I always had a desire to help people and thought of going into nursing but I also enjoyed receiving massages so I felt I could start with that first then approach nursing. I fell in love with the beauty industry and after receiving my massage therapy license at the Touch Therapy Institute I studied esthetics at the Lu Ross Academy. I worked at Sony Pictures Entertainment and Tri Star Studio’s, working on movie locations and the studios as a massage therapist. In addition to the movie industry I also worked at a day spa were I learned more about the beauty industry and esthetics. Then went on to learn permanent make up and trained with Susan Church at the International Institute of Permanent Cosmetics.
Advance training courses and Certificates:

Ali trained at Advanced Fuller School of Massage Therapy in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1993. After taking and passing the National Certification Examination in 1994, she went on to work in a chiropractic clinic where she built a very diverse clientele that consisted of athletes, police, firefighters, high-risk pregnancies, and clients with fibromyalgia. She also worked in two different massage schools instructing classes in Anatomy& Physiology, Sports massage, Swedish massage, Stone massage, and Deep Tissue. She counts her training with Erik Dalton of the Freedom from Pain Institute as one of her most significant massage learning experiences. She has certificates in Stone, Prenatal, Deep Tissue, Sports therapies, Aromatherapy, Hydrotherapy, and Kinesiology.
Ali also holds a bachelor’s degree in communication which she believes is a very effective tool to have in her massage business. She feels that communication with the client about their needs, expectations, breathing, and pressure all combine to give the client the best experience possible.
If you ask Ali, she will tell you that her favorite kind of massage to do is deep tissue; particularly on clients that really, really need it.
